iMusicTuition serves as an introductory music tutorial application aimed at those interested in learning Indian classical music, particularly beneficial for non-resident individuals who may struggle to locate a qualified teacher. This app is also well-suited for beginners embarking on their musical journey in this genre.

The primary objective of iMusicTuition is not to facilitate mastery of Indian classical music but rather to familiarize users with its foundational concepts. This educational approach offers two main advantages:

<ol>
<li>Users will gain a deeper understanding of Indian classical music, enhancing their appreciation while listening to various classical performers.</li>
<li>Completing the app’s content provides students with a solid foundation, positioning them favorably to pursue formal training with a professional instructor.</li>
</ol>

The app is structured into ten chapters, each featuring written explanations accompanied by audio samples (performed by the developer) and illustrative images. The content is categorized into three progressive levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced, each culminating in an introduction to five distinct Ragas.

The ‘Beginner’ level consists of the initial four chapters that cover essential concepts of classical music, including:

<li>Swara and its forms</li>
<li>Saptak and its types</li>
<li>Raga and its components</li>
<li>Alankaar, Alaap, Taan</li>

<li>Various styles of singing</li>
<li>Khayal Gayan and its types</li>
<li>Taanpura: Its parts and tuning techniques</li>
<li>Pattern Making: Introduction, logic behind it, numerical representation, descending forms explained with sample patterns</li>
<li>Introduction to Ragas: Jaunpuri, Hameer, Deshkar, Shankra, Jaijaiwanti</li>
</ul>

The ‘Advanced’ level encompasses the final three chapters that explore advanced concepts within classical music, including:

<li>Tirobhav-Avirbhav and their characteristics</li>
<li>Singing styles beyond Khayal - Dhrupad, Dhamar, Taraana, and Bhajan</li>
<li>Process of composing a taal at varying speeds</li>
<li>Introduction to Ragas: Puriya-Dhanashri, Miyan-Malhaar, Vibhaas, Gaur-Malhaar, Todi</li>
